Dr. Victoria Fielding, DVM

Hello, my name is Dr. Victoria and it's my pleasure to welcome you to SRVC! I'm a graduate of WCVM and I began my career as a Small Animal Veterinarian in Calgary in 2005. I was fortunate to become the owner of the Bragg Creek Animal Hospital in 2008. I intend to bring my personalized style of veterinary medicine to Cochrane. I live with my family, small zoo of horses, 4 parrots, 2 cats and 3 dogs on an acreage in Water Valley. I love the outdoors especially being on the trails with my best friend "Phyre", a Friesian gelding.

Brooke, Office Manager

Hi, my name is Brooke and I'm very excited to be a part of the SRVC team. I have had a life long association with animals of all sizes and I can't wait to meet your furry family members. I'm currently a student of the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary. In my spare time, you can find me in the show ring at Rocky Mountain Show Jumping with my competitive equine partners.

Samantha, RVT

Samantha is our registered veterinary technologist who joined us in October 2021. She was born and raised in Drumheller and graduated from the animal health technology program in 2013 from Olds College. She has a long history of working with all sizes of animals and has a special interest in emergency medicine and surgeries. When not at work, Samantha enjoys time with her family, exploring the outdoors, or playing sports. She can not wait to meet all your furry friends and giving them the best care!

Amber, RVT

Hello! My name is Amber and I have been a registered veterinary technician since the fall of 2019. I joined the SRVC team in Spring of 2023. I have previous experience in large and small animal medicine but prefer a small animal setting. Outside of work, my passions include travel, reading, hiking with my golden mix, and eating/cooking vegan food! I look forward to meeting and caring for your furry family members!

Carmen, RVT

I grew up on a farm near Water Valley, AB and cared for animals both large and small. After high school I moved to Calgary where I worked in office administration. After a few years of this work I decided it was time to pursue my passion for working with animals. I graduated from the Animal Health Technology program at Olds College in 2012 with honours. I worked for many years in Ophthalmology at the CARE Centre in Calgary and also general practice clinics. I also volunteered with the Canadian Animal Task Force for several years, as well as various rescue organizations across Alberta. My professional interests include animal welfare, ophthalmology and geriatric wellness and pain management. Geriatric patients hold a very special place in my heart and I strive to make their final years as happy and comfortable as possible and make their transition over Rainbow Bridge a peaceful experience.

In my spare time I enjoy going on adventures with my two rescue dogs, reading, doing yoga and travelling. I enjoy gardening, volunteering and playing my violin. I recently moved back to Water Valley and am enjoying the quiet and being immersed in nature again.

Cheryl, Client Care

Hi, my name is Cheryl and I live on an acreage north of Cochrane with my spouse, four dogs and a cat who thinks he is a dog. I have been working with animals since I was 14 and I’m thrilled to be joining the SRVC team because nothing is more rewarding than caring for animals and helping them feel better. Outside of work I enjoy live music, gardening and cooking/baking. I also try to go camping as much as possible and have travelled across Canada in a truck camper with our four dogs.

Sinead, Client Care

Hi, I’m Sinéad. I am currently finishing up the Animal Health Technology diploma at Olds College and I am really excited to enter the veterinary industry as an RVT. I have lived on an acreage just outside of Cochrane all my life. When I am not at work or in school, I enjoy being outdoors running, hiking, fishing, snowboarding, and camping with my family, my fiancé, and my two dogs

Kelsey, Client Care

Hi, I'm Kelsey. I have a Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Calgary and bring 7 years of experience in a veterinary setting. I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Victoria Fielding when I first started out in vet medicine, and I am excited to be working with her again, alongside the SRVC team! When not busy working, I enjoy hiking/camping with my husband and golden retriever, skiing, and hitting the trails with my horse.

Emma, Client Care

My name is Emma Hewitt and I am a student at the University of Calgary. The opportunity to work at Sunset Ridge Veterinary Clinic caught my eye instantly as I have a passion for science and for animals of all shapes and sizes. I grew up on an acreage in Alberta with dogs, cats and horses and have always wanted to work with animals professionally. I take the care and comfort of all living things very seriously and feel that it is a necessity to treat each patient as if they were a part of my family. I have a wonderful German Shepherd of my own and she is my inspiration to learn about all creatures and to make a positive impact in the veterinary industry in any way that I can.
