General Travel Tips
- Be aware of temperature, both extremes can be deadly if your pet needs to remain in your vehicle
- Be prepared for possible ectoparasites such as ticks, fleas and lice at your destination
- Always lease your pet when stopping at rest stops as your pet may startle or spook in unfamilar surroundings
- Be cautious when introducing your pet to new animals
- Have your pet microchipped before you leave home
- Travel will a bowl and cool water
- Make frequent stops for fresh air, exercise and bathroom breaks. This may also help avoid nausea.
